Councilman Dezi Baker
Councilman Baker was born in Casa Grande Arizona and grew up in the deserts along the Colorado River. As a writer, adventurer and entrepreneur of small movements, Dezi and his wife Susie have enjoyed the very best that our wonderful state has to offer. Since settling in Globe six years ago the Baker family have focused mostly on the rich downtown community life that can be found here, volunteering their time while owning and operating "vida e caffe" , the place to be for life and coffee in Globe's historic district.
As a Councilman, Dezi continues to focus on what he calls his " first things first " campaign which utilizes smart growth and small town revitalization principles to ensure the health and well-being of the last best small town in Arizona. From his council seat Dezi also serves as President of the Municipal Property Corporation, as a founding member of the City of Globe's Tree Committee and as an ex officio member of The Historic Preservation Advisory Commission.
