Mary Ann Uhl

Mary Ann has lived in Globe for 40 years and represents the interests of District 3 and the City of Globe. She has collaborated with other council members to update Globe’s Municipal Code (building & fire) and pushed to hire Globe’s first full-time City Attorney and serves as the Ex Officio council representative to the Globe Public Library.

Mary Ann has been involved in the community since joining the Boy Scouts with her sons. She began as a den leader and continues on to coach and trainer, earning the Boy Scouts Trainer’s Wood Badge. She has been chairman of Cancer Walk-a-thons and Jail-a-thons. She is currently serving as Secretary/treasurer of the Fraternal Order of Police Gila #6. She is also a Eucharistic Minister & Compliance Officer for Holy Angel’s through the Diocese of Tucson, and is active in the Friends of the Globe Public Library.

Mary Ann earned her Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Social Work from Prescott College. Then worked in law enforcement as a Gila County Bailiff, Deputy, and Intensive Supervision Probation Officer for both adults & juvenile offenders.

Mary Ann is presently attending Project CENTRAL a highly competitive 2-year rural leadership development program for the State of Arizona. She is also actively working towards building a new library for the citizens of Globe, as well as a master plan to promote eco-tourism for Globe and the surrounding areas.
