Walk historic down town and enjoy the Arizona sunshine while visiting our antique shops, or visit The Cobre Valley Center for the Arts and view the works of local artists. If you are looking for beautiful scenery take a short drive to the Pinal Mountains or Roosevelt Lake to see the desert landscape. We are within a two-hour drive to Phoenix or Tucson.

FIRST GENERAL PLAN MEETING MAY 29, 2013

Pursuant to A.R.S. 9-499.15, the City of Globe is providing notice as of March 19, 2013 ("Effective Notice Date") regarding a proposed new Access to Care Fee scheduled to be approved or disapproved at a meeting of the Globe City Council. The new Access to Care Fee is authorized pursuant to Senate Bill 1357 that adds a new Section 2 to Title 36, Chapter 29 Article 1 of the Arizona Revised Statutes. This fee is expected to only impact the Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center and is expected to be for a limited time period (currently anticipated to be extended no later than December 31, 2013). The fee will be used as a matching fund to potentially draw down a federal share of Medicare dollars.
A public hearing regarding the proposal on the adoption of the fee shall be held April 22, 2013 at 6:00 pm at the Globe City Council Chambers, 150 N. Pine St., Globe, Arizona.
The City of Globe will hold a regular meeting of the City Council at the above location, date and time. The public hearing will be scheduled on the agenda for the purpose of presenting, discussing, and to obtain any comments on the proposed hospital fee. Written and verbal comments are welcome at the public meeting. Action on the item will occur after the public hearing, but not sooner than sixty days following the Effective Notice Date.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO INCREASE WATER AND WASTEWATER RATES AND FEES
Pursuant to A. R. S. 9-499.15 and 9-511.01, the City of Globe is providing notice of its intention to increase water and wastewater rates and fees. The City of Globe has prepared a written Water and Wastewater Rate Report dated April 2013 which supports the proposed increase in water and wastewater rates and fees. A copy of the Water and Wastewater Rate Report is available to the public for review and inspection at the office of the Globe City Clerk located at Globe City Hall, 150 N. Pine St., Globe, Arizona 85501.
A Public Hearing on the proposed increase in water and wastewater rates and fees shall be held by the Mayor and Council of the City of Globe on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 6:00 PM at Globe city Hall, 150 N. Pine St., Globe, Arizona, 85501.
The public hearing will be scheduled on the agenda for the purpose of presenting, discussing, and to obtain any comments on the proposed water and wastewater rate increases. Written and verbal comments are welcome at the public meeting. Action on the item will occur after the public hearing, but not sooner than sixty days following the Effective Notice Date of May 7, 2013.
