Mission

"Our mission for Globe’s historic downtown is to preserve and enhance the character of the area and adjacent neighborhoods: to sustain the downtown small-town atmosphere and its role as the ‘hub’ of the greater community where people congregate for commercial, social, cultural and recreational activities: and to create a destination space that encourages economic vitality."

Vision

“We envision our historic downtown as a place people enjoy and want to come to; a space that builds community provides a sense of place and allows connections that enhances well-being; a district that celebrates history, beauty, art, economic vibrancy, and culture…”

These are the Mission and Vision of the Globe Historic Downtown Plan which were adopted in 2011.

The Historic Preservation Advisory Commission (HPAC) strongly advocates and have adopted them as well.
