PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

The Upper Pinal Creek Bridge (AKA Connie’s Bridge) replacement project has begun after awarding the contract to Meridian Construction Company, based out of Tucson, AZ on November 22nd, 2022.  

Meridian started bringing in equipment to the site and other preparatory work as well as utility coordination and relocation, beginning with potholing on December 20th, 2022.  The project site will soon be fenced for the safety of work crews and the public. Meridian crews will start setting up Traffic Control followed by removals and underground waterline relocation work beginning January 2nd, 2023.  The existing Connie’s Bridge will remain open during the duration of the project.

A ground breaking ceremony is scheduled for January 10th, 2023.  The project is scheduled to be completed in late fall of 2023.
