Code Compliance
The mission of the Code Compliance Section is to improve the quality of life in the City of Globe and promote the public health, safety and welfare of the community by protecting neighborhoods and property values from blight, decline and deterioration. Code compliance provides our community longevity, provides safe and proud neighborhoods, increased property values, attraction to tourist/visitors and business activity.
The Code Compliance Section works in partnership with the citizens of Globe by using education, inspection and enforcement of the City's Property Maintenance Code, Globe Municipal Codes, Building Codes, Zoning and Sign Codes.
Owners and residents are responsible for property maintenance and the maintenance of sidewalks and alleyways bordering their property.
Common violations include but not limited to:
Junk or inoperable vehicles
Accumulation of trash, rubbish, debris
Over grown brush, weeds, landscapes
Un-permitted structures, work, and signs
Un-permitted outdoor storage-zoning violations
Zoning land use violations
Dilapidated, abandoned, unsafe structures
