2026 Election - Candidate Information
Thank you for your interest in becoming a candidate in the 2026 City of Globe Election. This information is designed to assist you in taking the first steps in the election process by providing key information and outlining the requirements for the 2026 City Council Election.
The next Globe Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, for the purpose of electing four Councilmembers in Districts 3, 4, 5, and 6 to serve four-year terms beginning January 2027. The General Election for a potential run-off between candidates or any city ballot measures will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
City Clerk staff cannot provide legal or financial advice. It is the responsibility of each candidate to ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
Please note that the Globe City Clerk serves as the official filing officer for all local election documents. All required forms must be submitted to the City of Globe City Clerk’s Office by the deadlines set forth in state law. Candidates should consult the Arizona Revised Statutes and Globe City Code for all legal requirements related to running for elected office.
Statements of intertest must first be submitted to the City of Globe Clerk’s office to obtain Nonpartisan Nomination Paper Declaration of Qualification and Nonpartisan Nomination Petitions
The City of Globe holds Council elections in the fall of even-numbered years.
· Primary Election is Tuesday, July 21, 2026
· General Election is Tuesday, November 3, 2026
The City Council is a seven-member non-partisan body elected to serve City Districts. The mayor is elected to serve at large, representing all citizens. City Council members are elected by their District of residence. There are six (6) districts within the City Limits. The Mayor and Council serve four-year terms and there are no term limits.

· District 6
Note: Only registered voters living within City limits are eligible to vote in local elections.
Regular Elections
· July 21, 2026 Primary Election -This election will be to elect Councilmembers in Districts 3, 4, 5 and 6
· November 3, 2026 General Election -This election will be for a candidate runoff, if necessary, and any other ballot measures.
Candidate Deadlines
· February 21, 2026 - Earliest Day to submit Nomination Papers
· March 23, 2026 - Last Day to submit Nomination Papers at 5:00 p.m.
The Voter Registration Deadline to participate in this election is Monday, June 22, 2026.
