The Finance Department serves the Citizens of Globe to  ensure the financial stability of the City of Globe through effective fiscal oversight. This is achieved by implementing robust accounting policies, procedures, systems, and controls. The department also provides accurate and valuable financial information to management, external agencies, and citizens. Additionally, it conducts financial audits of the City’s departments, agencies, and funds.

The Finance Department supports various cost centers beyond accounting for the City’s revenues and expenditures. These include cash management, payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets, special accounts receivable, grant monitoring, banking relations, monthly reporting, and debt service.

Our mission is to provide professional and technical assistance to the City Manager and City Departments relative to all financial matters and serve the public's best interest.
