Plan Submittal and Review
Building Plans
To obtain a building permit in the City of Globe, a permit application, site plan, and building plans must be submitted to the City for review and approval. Building plans are required to determine compliance with the building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical codes set forth in the International Codes and the City's engineering, planning and zoning requirements. Upon review and approval of building plans, applicants are notified, fees are paid, and a permit is issued. For more information or to check the status of a plan review, contact the Building Safety Department at (928) 425-7146 Ext. 219.
Building Plan Submittal
Building and construction drawings must be legible and submitted in a un-locked editable electronic format (PDF) for plan review before a permit is issued. Incomplete plan submittals will not be accepted. This review ensures your building plans meet the City of Globe and international codes for life safety and minimum construction code requirements, including:
Building
Plumbing
Mechanical
Electrical
Footing/foundation
Fire sprinkler
Fire alarm
The City of Globe requires a plan review intake fee (Deposit) to be paid at the time of initial application. Once plans have been approved the intake fee will be applied to the final total cost of the plan review fee. Intake fees are non-refundable after payment is received and plan review has been started. Intake fees are utilized to recover the cost associated with plan reviews.
