Lieutenant Charles Haines has been associated with the Globe Police Department for over twenty-four years and is currently assigned as the Lieutenant over the Criminal Investigations Unit as well as all Civilian positions within the department.   Chuck is tasked as the Training Coordinator, Accreditation Manager, policy review, Grants Writer & coordinator, quartermaster in charge of ordering all equipment and supplies, FEMA compliance, and fleet services contact. 

Born and raised in the local area, Chuck is a graduate of Miami High School and holds an Associate Degree from Mesa Community College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Justice Studies from Arizona State University.  Chuck started his career with Globe PD in 1996 as a patrol officer.  He went on to work various assignments within the department, to include Narcotics Agent with the Gila County Narcotics Task Force and as a Detective with the Criminal Investigations Unit. 

In 2005 Chuck was promoted to Sergeant over a patrol squad and remained in that position until 2016.  Chuck retired from Globe PD in 2016 but remained active as a patrol reserve.

In 2018, Chuck was recruited back to Globe PD as an Administrative Staff Sergeant and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2020.
