BHP Donates $800,000 to the City of Globe to Support Purchase of Ladder Truck

The City of Globe is proud to announce a transformative $800,000 donation from BHP, marking a significant investment in the safety and resilience of our community. This generous contribution will directly support the purchase of a 110-foot Rosenbauer ladder truck for the Globe Fire Department.

With the total project cost estimated between $2.4 and $2.6 million, BHP’s leadership and generosity will play a crucial role in making this vital equipment a reality. The ladder truck—expected to be delivered within approximately 18 months—will dramatically improve emergency response capabilities, enhance firefighter safety, and strengthen service to residents across Globe and Southern Gila County.

“BHP continues to demonstrate what it means to be a true community partner,” said Mayor Al Gameros. “Their unwavering commitment to the well-being of our city and its residents is evident through this remarkable act of generosity. This donation is not only an investment in equipment—it’s an investment in lives, safety, and the future of Globe.”

“BHP is proud to partner with the City of Globe to help ensure the continued safety and wellbeing of the community” said Zachary Larsen, BHP’s Manager US Legacy Assets.

The remaining funding for the ladder truck will be provided by the City of Globe, with full support from the City Council to ensure the successful and timely acquisition of this critical resource.
