July 14, 2026 – City of Globe, AZ – The City of Globe is encouraging residents to enroll in an individual PHI Cares Household Membership. The City's current municipal air medical membership program expires on August 12, 2026, as funding is to be allocated to address the high levels of recent flood damage. To ensure residents remain protected during this period, PHI Cares is offering Globe residents an annual discounted household membership of just $30. This is approximately 68% below the standard membership rate of $95 annually.

This membership covers every household dependent and up to three additional people at the same address. Members flown by PHI Air Medical have no out-of-pocket expenses, nationwide.

The time to enroll is extremely time sensitive. Due to the significant financial impact of last September’s flooding, which caused more than $95 million in damage across the community, the City is temporarily pausing renewal of the municipal membership program while recovery efforts continue, and budget priorities are addressed.

City of Globe Mayor, Al Gameros, has championed the importance of maintaining local emergency air medical coverage: “Access to emergency air medical transportation can make a tremendous difference when minutes matter, especially in rural communities like ours. As the city continues to manage the financial impacts of flood recovery and prioritize limited resources toward critical recovery and mitigation efforts, we were unable renew the annual PHI Air Medical Membership program on behalf of our residents this year."

However, residents who wish to maintain coverage may renew directly with PHI for $30.00 for the upcoming year for the entire household if completed by August.

“We appreciate PHI's continued commitment to serving our community," continued Mayor Al Gameros, "and thank our residents for their understanding as we work through the ongoing recovery process together.”

“For over four years, PHI Cares, a division of PHI Air Medical, has provided residents in the City of Globe access to local emergency air medical coverage through a municipal membership program. Many residents may not realize they have been protected under this city-funded benefit for the past four years. They can now keep that protection and extend it to nationwide coverage,” said Carrie Brookshire, PHI Senior Membership Manager.

Residents are encouraged to enrol before the municipal membership expires on August 12 to avoid any lapse in coverage. To enroll, in the household membership. residents can contact Carrie Brookshire, PHI Senior Membership Manager, at 480-841-5837 or visit https://www.phicares.com.
