The City of Globe is currently in the process of on-boarding/implementing an e-government tracking software (Citizenserve) to better serve our community this software including powerful request tracking for municipalities to manage citizen/contractor request and shall include; code compliance complaints, building/fire permits, zoning request, public works request/permits, and business licensing/renewals through an integrated online portal for both residents and contractors.
This software also provides mobile access for staff, automating workflows. improving communication, enhancing time frames, and providing real time updates to applicants. The City of Globe continues to work towards enhancing our services by providing better functionality and customer service.
Key Features & Functions:
Citizen Portal: Contractors and residents can submit requests (e.g., building/fire permits, code complaints, business licensing/renewals, zoning request, public works permits/request, etc.) This portal allows the applicant to track the status of their submittal, receive updates, submit revisions, request inspections, renew or apply for business licenses.
Staff Workflow Automation: Automatically assigns, routes, and escalates requests to the right staff/departments.
Mobile Accessibility:
Staff can access live data in the field and manage tasks from anywhere on any device or mobile device.
Integrated Solutions: Handles permitting, planning,/zoning, business licensing/renewals, code compliance complaints, and scheduling inspections.
Reporting:
Generates standard and custom reports for oversight and analysis.
Communication Tools: Automates notifications, letters, and emails to keep citizens/contractors informed.
How it Works:
Citizen/Contractor Submission: A resident/contractor/designer/etc. visits the City of Globe website, clicks on the required link for the type of service they are requesting, sets up submits a service request via the online portal on the city's website, selecting the request type of service needed, is able to upload all required documents, make payments when prompted

Reminder to the community: Survey markers may be placed in select areas, beginning today, as part of upcoming aerial mapping for flood mitigation planning. These markers help ensure accurate data collection and should not be disturbed.

Beginning the week of February 9, surveyors will be in the field setting the ground control for the aerial mapping. A total of 35 targets will be set for 3 mapping areas.
The areas are: Upper Pinal Creek, Six Shooter Canyon, and Russell Gulch. The targets will typically be visible as white “X” markings on the ground. Please do not disturb these markings.
Within the next few weeks, a manned aircraft will fly these areas at a flight height of approximately 1,000 feet to obtain new aerial imagery and LIDAR data to develop topographic mapping for these areas. This mapping will be the basis of improvement plans associated with upcoming flood mitigation work.

The City of Globe will begin reestablishing the rails on the Yuma Bridge starting Monday, February 9th to Friday, February 20th, 2026. The Yuma Bridge will be closed starting at 7:30am and will reopen at 2:30pm daily. Bridge access will be available on Saturday and Sunday. Residents are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Walt Blackman sponsored HB-2070 to allocate $25M for disaster costs. This bill passed this step unanimously w/bipartisan support & now moves forward.

The Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing today at 6:00 PM to review proposed changes related to home-based businesses and parking paving requirements.

This hands-on coordination helps ensure damage information is accurate, complete, and reflective of real-world conditions as recovery discussions continue.

We are aware of a water main break affecting residents in the Six Shooter Canyon area.
Public Works crews are already on scene and actively working to repair the issue. Service restoration is anticipated by this afternoon.

Re-Emerging Loan Fund (RELiEF) – Additional Support for Local Businesses 💼
The Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC) has established the Re-Emerging Loan Fund (RELiEF) to help businesses, and organizations affected by the flood stabilize, restart, or strengthen ongoing operations.
RELiEF is a flexible loan program offering:
• Loans up to $10,000
• 3% simple interest
• Terms up to 60 months
• No collateral required
• No loan fee and a one-time processing fee of $250
• No minimum loan amount
Eligible applicants include small businesses, nonprofits, Tribes, and public entities located in RCAC’s service area who have an immediate or ongoing need related to flood recovery, operating costs, inventory, or capital purchases.
A key component of this program is one-on-one business coaching, provided by RCAC, to help applicants determine the most appropriate loan structure and support their recovery path.
RCAC recognizes the level of need in Globe and across our region. While this fund represents just one step, it is a meaningful resource for businesses working to re-emerge after the flood.
