Globe’s Voice in Statewide Conversations 🏛️

Mayor Al Gameros represented the City of Globe twice this week at the League of Arizona Cities and Towns Annual Conference, participating in two panels addressing important issues facing Arizona communities.

On the "Arizona Voters’ Agenda" panel, Mayor Gameros discussed housing affordability and highlighted Globe’s transformation of the historic Hill Street Schoolhouse into affordable apartments as a creative approach to affordable housing.

He also joined a panel on community preparedness and emergency response, sharing lessons learned from Globe’s 2025 flood response and discussing how communities can better prepare for wildfire, flooding and other emergencies.

These conversations give Globe an opportunity to share what we’ve learned, learn from communities across Arizona, and bring new ideas and resources home.

Thank you, Mayor Gameros, for representing Globe and ensuring our community has a voice in statewide conversations.
