No First Friday in July 🇺🇸 We will not be hosting a First Friday event in July, as it falls on Independence Day, Friday, July 4th. This decision was made out of respect for the holiday and the well-being of our community. It allows our vendors, staff, and guests to spend time with loved ones and take part in local Fourth of July celebrations, including fireworks! Most importantly, our City’s first responders will be operating at full capacity that evening, ensuring the safety of residents and visitors during one of the busiest nights of the year. We do not want to add unnecessary strain to our police, fire, and emergency teams who are already committed to keeping our community safe. Additionally, we have historically had to cancel our July event due to heat advisory warnings, so we are preemptively hoping that everyone can stay cool. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to welcoming you back for First Friday on August 1st for another fun and exciting community event!

PSA: Power Outage Effecting Many in the Area Update 5:06 PM - Only 42 customers remain off. These will be restored as the APS crews repairs splice and it is safe to energize. Update: 4:24 PM - Customers are coming back online as damage is isolated and APS is able to switch them on. We are currently experiencing a power outage affecting approximately 1,400 APS customers due to a vehicle hitting a pole on South Broad Street . APS field personnel have been dispatched to isolate the damage and ensure safety in the area. Crews are working diligently to restore power. At this time, we do not have an Estimated Time to Restore (ETR), but we will provide updates as more information becomes available. For those traveling in the area, please use extra caution. Traffic lights may be out, and drivers should treat intersections as four-way stops to ensure everyone's safety. We appreciate your patience and understanding as crews work to resolve this situation. EarthQuest Plumbing will begin replacing a sewer line on Hackney Avenue, between US 60 and Gleason Ave., beginning Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
