For the safety of our community, the Globe Community Center Pool will be closed for the next few days due to weather-related safety concerns.
✅ We will reassess conditions on Sunday morning and share an update at that time on whether we can safely reopen.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we prioritize the safety of our swimmers and staff. 💙
Sandbags are still available at 1250 S. Hagen Rd. at the Public Works yard.
⏰ The best time to grab them is before you need them! Please prepare early and take only what you need so supplies last for everyone.
Stay safe and take precautions now! 💧

Yesterday’s storm brought 3.10 inches at its highest, which is equal to a 30-year event!
Thanks to the new bridges and canal systems, the rainwater flowed exactly as designed; protecting our community and keeping infrastructure strong.
🙌 A big shoutout to our Public Works team, who are out today clearing mud and debris to keep everything moving smoothly.
🟫 Sandbags are still available outside the Public Works Yard (1250 S. Hagen Rd.) for anyone who would like extra protection, just in case we see additional rain today.
This is a great reminder of how investments in our city’s infrastructure make a real difference when it matters most. 💪🌎

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. 💙
We’ll see you back at the pool tomorrow! 🏊♂️
Attention riders: For today only, anyone using the Copper Mountain Transit bus , Dial-a- Ride or fixed route service , will need to use the bottom of the T-Ball Field as the meeting point, due to a private event at the Community Center Park.
✅ Pick-up & Drop-off: Bottom of the T-Ball Field (bus can safely turn around there)
❌ Closed: Globe Community Park access point (closed for special event)
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following lane restrictions on US 60, approximately 3 miles west of Miami, for roadway improvements:
US 60 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction with alternating east- and westbound travel between mileposts 240 and 243 daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, through Thursday, Sept. 18, and from 6 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 19.
Flaggers and a pilot car will direct drivers through the work zone.
An 11-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place until further notice.
The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph in the work zone.
Motorists should allow extra travel time, use caution, be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
This work is separate from the US 60, Queen Creek and Waterfall Canyon Bridges Replacement Project east of Superior.

This is a great opportunity to chat about city-related questions, concerns, or anything on your mind!
Connection, coffee, and conversation! All are welcome!
