Key takeaways: • The City brought in $1.4M more in revenue than budgeted 💵 • Overall, the City stayed within its budget while still covering essential needs in Police, Fire, and Economic Development • This process helps keep the City’s finances transparent, accountable, and in compliance with state law 👏 Thank you to our staff, partners, and community members who continue to move Globe forward! #CityofGlobe #GlobeAZ #CommunityUpdates #PeopleProcessProgress

🌧️ Globe Weather Update: Rain & Resilience! 🌧️

Yesterday’s storm brought 3.10 inches at its highest, which is equal to a 30-year event!
Thanks to the new bridges and canal systems, the rainwater flowed exactly as designed; protecting our community and keeping infrastructure strong.

🙌 A big shoutout to our Public Works team, who are out today clearing mud and debris to keep everything moving smoothly.

🟫 Sandbags are still available outside the Public Works Yard (1250 S. Hagen Rd.) for anyone who would like extra protection, just in case we see additional rain today.

This is a great reminder of how investments in our city’s infrastructure make a real difference when it matters most. 💪🌎

Plan for daytime lane restrictions on US 60 west of Miami Sept. 15-19
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following lane restrictions on US 60, approximately 3 miles west of Miami, for roadway improvements:

US 60 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction with alternating east- and westbound travel between mileposts 240 and 243 daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, through Thursday, Sept. 18, and from 6 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 19.
Flaggers and a pilot car will direct drivers through the work zone.
An 11-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place until further notice.
The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph in the work zone.
Motorists should allow extra travel time, use caution, be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.

This work is separate from the US 60, Queen Creek and Waterfall Canyon Bridges Replacement Project east of Superior.
