As we continue to recover from the recent flood in our city, we want to extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the victims lost and their families. Our hearts are with everyone affected by this devastating event.
To our businesses and residents who lost so much during this flood, we feel your pain, and we stand with you. Together, we will recover and rebuild stronger than ever.
To all the volunteers who have come to our city to help with the flood cleanup, your overwhelming response has been truly heartening. We are deeply grateful for your support. We could not have come this far without your selfless efforts. Thank you for standing with us during this time.
To all our local first responders who answered the initial call, and to all the other agencies that have come to assist us with the search and rescue and cleanup, we thank you for your unwavering support.
To our Public Works and administrative staff who have worked countless hours from that night and throughout the weekend, thank you. Your dedication has been vital in driving our recovery efforts forward, not only for our businesses and residents, but also in securing and expediting much needed funding for our city following the declaration of a state of emergency. Your commitment does not go unnoticed.

#GlobeStrong #CommunityUpdate
These past several days have been heartbreaking for Globe. Our community, our vendors, and our neighbors have all been touched by the historic flooding. We are holding each of you and your families in our hearts. 💙
As many of you know, First Friday was born during a time of deep community need, the pandemic, as a way to lift one another up and stay connected. Today, we face another moment of need. This time, we must pause the event so we can come together in a different way: by focusing fully on recovery, healing, and supporting those directly impacted.
With this in mind, October’s First Friday is cancelled.
We are exploring ways to reschedule the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb and Globe Fire Department Open House and will share updates as soon as we are able.
In the meantime, let’s continue checking in on one another, lending a hand where it’s needed, and remembering what makes Globe so special: when times are toughest, we rise together. 🌅
