Al Gameros
Al Gameros is a lifetime resident of the community, born in Miami, Arizona on April 14, 1956.
He is Bi-Lingual, fluent in English and Spanish.
He retired from the Globe Fire Department in February of 2016 after serving 29 1/2 years, 18 of those years as the Fire Chief.
He brings to the position of Mayor, a well-established background of leadership, public administration and professionalism. He has served on numerous professional committees in the community and throughout the state for the last two decades. He is creative and innovative in addressing issues and coming up with solutions that will benefit the City of Globe. He believes in community and regional collaboration for marketing to help increase tourism to our amazing city.
His awards include Paramedic Student of the Year in 1992 and He was named Citizen of the year in 2014.
