Rates

Single family residential solar photovoltaic system: $320 (includes one plan review and two inspections)

Single family residential solar hot water heating system: $180 (includes one plan review and one inspection)

Nominal fees will be collected for complex or non-standard solar installations requiring additional plan reviews or inspections.

The following three criteria will be used to determine when an engineer's report for the supporting structure is necessary:

1. Distributed Weight - If the photovoltaic system is greater than 5 pounds per square foot; or
2. Point Load - If the photovoltaic system exerts a point load greater than 40 pounds; or
3. Age of Home - If the home is more than 35 years old.

4. Manufactured Homes, Mobile Homes, Factory Built Buildings.

Other financial incentives for solar installations may also be available through the Energy Star programs offered by the U.S. federal government. Additionally, residents may also qualify for SRP's Earthwise Energy program.
